![]() ![]() ![]() I will reply more questions I have, because they are bound to come. Does MakeMKV also save the Chapter names? It saves the correct time stamps but I can't find the names. In iFlicks 2, what does the option Update Metadata and Rename mean, and how does it differ from the option Update Metadata?Ħ. I have hundreds of CDs that I've ripped over the years, but I also had a bunch of songs that I don't have CDs for (CDs are lost, unusable, old purchases. My 2 backups are each unusable for different reasons, just as luck would have it. I like to organize my media files in very specific (maybe crazy) ways, which means customizing the metadata like Genre, Grouping, Sorting fields, etc. All my song files are missing save for each song's respective metadata. Anyone know what AC3 is? From what my understanding, is it is the uncompressed audio bitrate from the movie and can be played if the stereo audio isn't supported?ĥ. For the files not purchased from iTunes, I am using Subler to save them from MKV to MP4 containers, and assign metadata from TMDb (The Movie Database). Is there a way to protect a file from deletion? For example I could set a password for a file and to be able to delete it or edit it I would have to unlock it first.Ĥ. So will overtime all these revisions of the metadata effect the file?ģ. Ideally I would like to perform searches, or create smart playlists, based on the 'Cast' field. iTunes does not display the 'Cast' field as far as I can tell BUT my AppleTV2 displays that field as 'Actors'. The actor names are placed into a field called 'Cast'. Does editing metadata such the poster, cast, date, etc, effect the actual file of the movie? My plan is to store all my movies on a hard drive and be able to update the just metadata as it changes on TMDB for example lets say every year so it is all current. One of the side car file types of FCP are in iTT format (iTunes Timed Text). I tag all of my video files using Subler. In Subler, it seems I can edit Chapter Names without having to encode the file all over again, but have to with iFlicks 2. ![]()
